»The border is not that
at which something ends,
but
the border is that
from which something
begins.«

Otmar Wagner practises BORDER FENCE JOGGING. Spielfeld / Southern Styria, 2016
In the background is the border fence initiated by the former Minister of the Interior, Mikl-Leitner. The contract was awarded to the Tyrolean civil engineering firm Geo-Alpin, a specialist in avalanche fences. According to the company, the fence is constructed in such an unstable manner that it begins to flutter when people climb it, causing it's attackers (in this case, refugees) to fall off.
