The Kingdom of Love

The song is based on a map by Johann Gottlob Immanuel Breitkopf from 1777, ›Das Reich der Liebe‹ (The Kingdom of Love). At the end of the song, Wagner projects another curious cartographic work: ›World Map‹ by Öyvind Fahlström from 1972. The song has featured in a number of concert performances since 2008, including here in the concert performance ›WHITE MOON VOODOO‹ at the WUK in Vienna.

Loch im Leib, Part I + II

Excerpts from Otmar Wagner’s concert performance ›Identity. Excess. Europe‹ at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele in 2008. Special guest: Irene Coticchio. In the first part of the song, Otmar Wagner cuts holes in the large wooden video screen with a chainsaw. The projection on the wall shows a live recording of a model landscape made up of city buildings, which is set up on stage and which Wagner blows up with pyrotechnics in the second part of the song.

Blindlings, nicht im Plan

The song was part of the multimedia performance ›INTER-ESSE or Toys To Enter The World‹, which was presented in June and August 2011 at Rinderhalle Vienna. The basic set design was created by MediaOpera – an octagonal space enclosed by six large video screens.
The video excerpt shows a small model railway with a wireless mini-camera; its footage was projected live onto the screens. The lyrics are taken from the poem ›The Island‹ by Rainer Maria Rilke.

CYBORG

Otmar Wagner sings excerpts from two essays by Donna Haraway. The song has been part of some of his concert performances since 2004. It is also an example of Wagner's concept of ›territories that have to be sung‹.
Karl Marx wrote: »The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it«. Otmar Wagner says: »The philosophers have only been interpreted, in various ways; the point is to sing them«.

SHE (Lady G. about Marina A.)

Noah Holtwiesche invited Otmar Wagner to perform the song ›SHE‹ during his performance ›Mein Herz schlägt. Anfang einer Serie von Serien‹ (My heart is beating. The beginning of a series of series).
The performance was part of a psychoanalytical conference held in 2012 at Garage X on Petersplatz in Vienna.
